Gerri has twenty-five years of experience in patient safety leadership at EmPRO, with ever-increasing responsibility. Gerri transitioned from the clinical environment of the NewYork -Presbyterian Healthcare System to join Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers in 1995 and is now Vice President of the Education Department at EmPRO. Gerri is an accomplished executive with significant experience in the professional liability insurance market, and, having never left the clinical environment, maintains a private psychotherapy practice of more than thirty years. Passionate about physician wellness, Gerri founded the Physician Peer Support Program at EmPRO and sits on the advisory boards of the Sara Charles Physician Litigation Stress Resource Center and of Women in Medicine at Mercy College.
