Live from Moscow, the EmPRO Physicians’ Club Presents…
A Russian Space Odyssey
The history of Russia is very closely related to space exploration. The USSR launched the first artificial satellite, “Sputnik-1”, in 1957, ushering in the space era. The Soviet space program was one of the great achievements of the USSR: first orbiting spacecraft, first animals to orbit our planet, the first man and woman in space, and the first spacewalk.

This virtual program will be given LIVE by a guide from Moscow and includes:
- The origins of the USSR Space program
- Russian space bioprinting technology: How cosmonauts will soon receive 3D-printed body parts
- How Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space
- Legendary spaceships and spacesuits
- Monument to the Conquerors of space
- Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics
