In most states, they have a Physician Profile webpage, and many physicians aren’t even aware of this. It is required in most states, for physician’s to update their own profile when something changes, such as an office address, hospital affiliation or a malpractice settlement. Be certain to be update your profile prior to renewing your registration. Failure to do so is punishable by possible license sanctions. Profile updating is fairly easy, and can be done online by simply accessing your profile and checking the correct box to initiate the update. After that is done, go back online and see the date of the update within your profile. If everything looks fine, you’re good to go!
